ACA Update; Speaker: Glenn DeMaio, ADP and Laura Coggins, ADP

As a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist with 25+ years of technology and Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, Laura helps businesses understand the timing and impacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how to optimize their HCM infrastructure for compliance, cost control and risk mitigation. The ACA means significant administrative challenges relating to compliance deadlines, reporting and noticing requirements, financial consequences, new fees and taxes, and play-or-pay penalties. 

Laura guides payroll, HR and Benefit professionals in becoming a strategic driver for their organization through partnering on ACA administrative transactions that are compliance driven and take precious time and resources away from their core business.   She specializes in understanding the business case objectives for transformation, assists with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, ROI, and business case modeling. 

Laura has a Bachelor of Science from Clemson University and is currently a Corporate Sales Manager for ADP Health Compliance.  In her spare time, Laura she spending time on the water in any type of boat (sail, power or paddle board), water and snow skiing and, has a passion for health & fitness.  

 

  Glenn DeMaio

Glenn has been helping organizations for 10 years and specializes in partnering with companies who have invested in an in-house HCM solution. As a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist, Glenn has in depth expertise with the Affordable Care act and also Payroll Tax Filing, Wage Garnishments, Unemployment Compensation, Tax Credit programs, and going paperless with employee pay. By working closely with organizations to identify the “gaps “ in their current processes, he has helped them operate more efficiently and mitigate risk.

 Glenn currently manages a Geographic territory covering all of VA, DE, DC, MD and parts of PA as an Corporate Sales manager for ADP Smart Compliance. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and with his 8 month-old son.

If not you, then someone you know who would be good for us. Put your ideas out there for candidates or into practice by running for an office.  Open positions are:

1.5 Recertification Credit Hours (RCH) will be awarded to CPP and FPC professionals for this meeting.

Charm City Payroll Association registration and cancellation policy: Meeting registrations are transferable to other employees at the same company as the original registrant, provided advance notification is provided to the CCPA by clicking here. Cancellations are allowed up to the deadline for the early registration date and are subject to a cancellation fee of $10.00. Cancellations after this date are not refundable and the full cost of the event is due.  All refunds are issued by check from the CCPA made out to to the original registering party.

  1. In order to register for our meetings you must be registered with and logged into our web site.  Click here if you wish to register with our site. 
  2. You can register others for the meeting by selecting the desired number of Member or Non-Member tickets.  Paid members may purchase tickets for members or non-members.  Non-members may only purchase non-member tickets.
  3. If you're a member registering other members, once you've selected your tickets, use the drop down to select the member(s) you want to register.  By default, your name will populate for each ticket .  The list is sorted alpha by last name.
  4. For non-members, type in the name and email address (optional) of each attendee.
  5. Once you've selected (or typed in) your attendees, click "Continue" to complete your payment.
  6. Each attendee will receive a registration confirmation email.
