FMLAJoin Baltimore Employment Lawyer Laura L. Rubenstein, Esq. as she discusses the intricacies of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), short-term and long-term disability leave and other laws that require an employee to take time off for a personal or family reason.  Laura’s presentation will be informative and interactive.  We guarantee you will leave having learned something new!

Laura RubensteinLaura Rubenstein’s practice as an employment lawyer concentrates in general civil litigation and employment litigation, representing corporate clients and nonprofit agencies in a wide range of matters. These matters include the defense of state and federal discrimination claims, workplace and sexual harassment charges, ADA and ADEA claims, wage and hour issues, FMLA disputes, employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, general contract claims, employment-related and other business tort claims.

Mrs. Rubenstein also provides ongoing employment advice and training seminars to companies to implement and develop effective employment policies and procedures. She represents clients before numerous local, state, and federal administrative agencies and courts across the nation which enforce employment laws, as well as in arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Mrs. Rubenstein also regularly advises clients on the design, implementation and regular reviews of employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.

Mrs. Rubenstein represents several government contractors in employment matters. She has successfully handled Department of Labor, OFCCP, and other federal agency investigations and subsequent charges related to I-9s, Affirmative Action Plans, and FLSA wage and hour issues under the Service Contract Act, Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act, and AbilityOne (NISH). Mrs. Rubenstein also investigates, responds, and successfully mediates discrimination claims filed by employees of government contractors in her work as a certified mediator.

Cancellations are allowed up to the deadline for the early registration date and are subject to a cancellation fee of $10.00. Cancellations after this date are not refundable and the full cost of the event is due.  All refunds are issued by check from the CCPA made out to to the original registering party.

  3. If you're a member registering other members, once you've selected your tickets, use the drop down to select the member(s) you want to register.  By default, your name will populate for each ticket .  The list is sorted alpha by last name.
  4. For non-members, type in the name and email address (optional) of each attendee.
  5. Once you've selected (or typed in) your attendees, click "Continue" to complete your payment.
  6. Each attendee will receive a registration confirmation email.
