TAX TIPS SEMINAR

Join your fellow payroll professionals as we welcome Rhonda Brown, Senior Stakeholder Liaison with Communications and Stakeholder Outreach, a business unit of Internal Revenue Service’s Small Business/Self-Employed Division.  

To assist you with meeting the needs of your small business or small business clients, Internal Revenue Service’s Stakeholder Liaison is offering a free educational seminar and free small business products. This special, comprehensive presentation will provide you with first hand knowledge about a broad range of small business information:

• Small business resources
• How to navigate the IRS website
• Small business tax incentives
• IRS Issue Management Resolution Program “How to address frequently disputed or burdensome tax issues”
• Form 941 changes and other updates

In addition to the above topics, a brief overview of recent Form 941 changes and other updates will be discussed. 

Rhonda has been involved in educational outreach activities for over 11 years. having worked with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including tax professionals, small businesses, Certified Public Accountants, attorneys, reporting agents, professional associations, educational institutions, service and trade organizations, government agencies, industry groups, electronic businesses and self-employed individuals. She has coordinated and conducted many outreach activities and educational events, including Federal/State Tax Institutes, Electronic IRS Seminars, Practitioner Liaison Meetings, Small Business Forums, and other conferences, meetings, seminars, and classes; as well as given numerous presentations on a broad range of topics ranging from basic recordkeeping requirements to complex business tax law updates.

Prior to working in educational outreach, Rhonda was a Revenue Officer from 1991 to 2001. During my tenure in Compliance, she also taught many IRS classes and served as a Volunteer Instructor for Junior Achievement for elementary through high school levels. Rhonda is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina Central University, having graduated with Honors in 1986 with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice.

1.5 Recertification Credit Hours (RCH) will be awarded to CPP and FPC professionals for this meeting.

Charm City Payroll Association registration and cancellation policy: Meeting registrations are transferable. Cancellations are allowed up to the deadline for the early registration date and are subject to a cancellation fee of $10.00. Cancellations after this date are not refundable and the full cost of the event is due.

1. As before, in order to register for our meetings you must be registered with and logged into our web site.  Click here if you need to register with our site. 
2. You can register others for the meeting, but only those who are also registered with our web site.  Once you confirm your information you'll be presented with the option to purchase tickets for each member category for which you are eligible to purchase.  To purchase more than one ticket, click on the "Add to cart"  button multiple times for each ticket category you wish to purchase. 
3. Paid members may purchase tickets for other paid members and guest members.  Guest members may only purchase tickets for other guest members. 
4. Once you've selected your tickets, use the drop down to select the member(s) you want to register.  By default, your name will populate for each ticket .  The list is sorted alpha by last name.
5. Once you've selected your attendees, click "Continue" to complete your payment.
6. Only you will receive a registration confirmation email.
