Topic: Legal and Compliance Requirements of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act 

Summary:

The presentation will address the new provisions included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, with a particular emphasis on the “No Tax on Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime” provisions. The presentation will discuss the legal and compliance requirements of this new law and how it will directly impact employer, payors, and reporting agents. It will also discuss recently released guidance by IRS and Treasury related to the bill and its implications for both employers/payors and individual employees/payees.

Speaker: Benjamin Poor, Senior Counsel, ADP, Inc.

Bio:

Benjamin Poor is Senior Counsel – Human Capital Management and Payroll at ADP. In this role, Benjamin advises ADP’s product and development teams on a number of issues related to payroll, state and local tax, federal tax, as well as money movement and electronic payments.

Benjamin previously held the role of Director for Government Affairs for ADP Compliance Solutions, where he was responsible for collaborating with
the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Social Security Administration (SSA) regarding current and emerging laws, regulations and agency changes.

 Prior to joining ADP, Benjamin was an attorney in the Large Business and International Division at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he worked as both a tax litigator and advisor on a wide range of foreign and domestic issues.
