Topic: US Outbound and Inbound Mobile Employees

Summary: 

This presentation will touch base on a wide range of payroll related matters with regards to US outbound and inbound mobile employees (individuals both leaving the country and coming to the country to work).  Topics will include proper documentation requirements, income and social tax treaties, shadow payroll, taxable fringe benefits, and employee repayments of compensation to the company, etc.

Speakers:

Ritu Thakuria, EA

Ritu has 10 years of experience helping organizations with their globally mobile population. Her areas of knowledge and expertise include global tax policies (both expatriate and inpatriate), relocation programs, cost projections. She brings an enthusiastic approach to client service and worked on clients ranging from single individuals to large scale engagements.  Ritu is an Enrolled Agent and earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Austin.

Robert Creighton

Robert Creighton is a Manager in the Global Employer Services Tax Practice at Deloitte Tax LLP and has over 10 years of experience dealing with the implications companies face as a result of a mobile cross-border workforce.  His clients range across various industries, including both US and foreign based companies, and have ranged from large companies with well-developed policies, procedures, and experience surrounding cross-border travel to smaller and younger companies entering new markets for the first time.   Examples of services Robert advises and assists clients with include global mobility tax compliance, global mobility compensation, global equity and rewards, business travelers, global pensions, and the Affordable Care Act.  Robert is a CPA licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

4. For non-members, type in the name and email address (optional) of each attendee.
