Summary: 

A review of the EWA (earned wage access) regulatory framework and recently issued guidance from the CFPB, as well as the latest product innovations.

 In this session we will review:

• Understanding the latest CFPB guidance and framework of laws and regulations impacting EWA
• Learn about EWA best practices for employers
• See how an integrated EWA and disbursement app experience makes for a seamless employee experience

Topic 2: Conflict Management - Dr. Reba Businski

Summary: 

Sticky situations, touchy topics, problem people – we’ve all encountered challenges like these and feel flustered and unsure about what to say or do. You will learn strategies and facilitation techniques for feeling more confident in challenging situations. Know how to deal with people when they’re at their worst. Find solutions without blaming anyone or saying something you’ll regret. Stay unconditionally neutral when you’re involved in other people’s conflicts.

After completing this workshop participants will be able to:

• Figure out where most problems come from
• Understand and communicate effectively with different personality types
• Prevent or reduce defensive behavior
• Deal with hotheads, bad-mouthers, habitual fault-finders and other morale busters
• Use techniques to defuse tense or explosive situations
• Get to win-win solutions; there’s no reason to have “losers” in any future conflicts

Speaker: Dallas Wilfong – Rapid!Pay

Bio:

Director of Sales, Eastern US, rapid! PayCard

Dallas Wilfong is the Director of Sales for the Eastern US at rapid! PayCard. In addition to his leadership and management role at rapid! PayCard, Dallas travels the United States to promote knowledge and education in the Paycard industry through supporting and speaking at numerous conferences, trade shows, and association meetings annually. Dallas has been with rapid! PayCard since 2012. Prior to joining rapid! PayCard, Dallas gained much of his experience working with the unbanked and underserved segment of the population while working in the Staffing Industry for over 10 years. In that industry he held many roles such as General Manager, Division Manager, and National Business Development Manager. Dallas was born in Charlottesville, VA, and currently resides in Clearwater Beach, FL. Growing up in a military family, Dallas has had the opportunity to live in many states across the country such as VA, MD, RI, FL, GA, HI, and CA. Dallas is a graduate of West Virginia University and holds a degree in Business and Public Communications, Class of 1996.

Bio:

Dr. Reba Businsky provides Human Resource expertise with employee relations, succession planning, recruiting, and onboarding best practices through her HR Consulting business, Alexander Businsky Consulting. Dr. Businsky is also an Adjunct Professor at American Public University Systems, and Wilmington University where she teaches Accounting, Human Resource Management and Transportation and Logistics Management classes. She is a former Professional Development/Diversity Director for the Delaware Chapter of SHRM and a former Workforce Readiness Director for the Delaware State Council of SHRM.
